It is a little place by Aline

I have always loved graveyards. When I was a teenager, I would often take a walk to my local one and just sit there for a while, I found it very appeasing. This is an exploration of that feeling.

It is a little place by Aline

It is a little place

Tucked away on the side of a familiar road

Here you will find

No roof or bed

Or warmth of a fire

Yet you enter and it offers

The open skies above your head - room

For the vastness

Of the churning thoughts

Filling up your lungs

To finally escape

Rich moss and soft soil

A cushion for your weary soul

A final resting place for

The dead

And your worries

The cool presence

Of old bones

Their stillness reassuring

That time

Will polish away the edge

Of your sorrows
